The Lycée Hotelier has a partnership with the Lubeck Hotel School, in La Rochelle’s twin town
A cultural exchange financed by the OFAJ every year enables 17 year old students in German to take part in a weeks trip to Germany.

Furthermore, the Lycée Hôtelier is strongly committed to two professional exchange programs with the Munich Hotel School:
- through the Franco German secretariat (Saarbrück) which finances professional exchange programs. Every year 16 students stay in Bavaria for three weeks.
- with the European LEONARDO program, 8 to 10 students carry out a professional placement of 5 months. Similarly, Bavarian students come to La Rochelle to undertake 5-months work experience in the Charentes area.
Many students undertake their placements in Germany.

Contacts have been made with the Ngaoundere Hotel School and an exchange program is currently under preparation. BTS students carry out work placements in leading hotels in Yaoundé and Douala.

Excellent links exist with the Institute for Tourism and Hospitality of Quebec in Montreal which welcomes a French BTS student in its training hotel every year. Also, an exchange was once conducted between a cooking teacher from Montreal and a cooking teacher from La Rochelle.

Another partnership is under construction with the School of Provincial Excellencies in Edmundston. This allows the placement of La Rochelle students for work experience in the States of New Brunswick, New England and New Scotland, and of Acadian students in the Poitou Charentes area.

A joint-project is under study with the Hotel School of Copenhagen which organises professional placements for its students at the Lycée Hôtelier in La Rochelle.

BTS students are welcomed for work experience in leading hotels in Dubai.

The Lycée Hôtelier has a partnership agreement via the LEONARDO program with the Ponte Deume Hotel School (Galicia) for long term student placements (5 months).
The Lycée Hôtelier is now also collaborating with the Hotel School of Valencia.

The Lycée Hôtelier is associated with the Perho Hotel School of Helsinki for long term student placements (5 months) through the LEONARDO program and has also signed a partnership with the Silja Line Company.

Since 1995, students in BAC pro first year carry out a training experience on board Silja Line Company ships on their Helsinki-Stockholm-Turku-Travemünde line. In January 1998, the Silja Line organised a one week visit to La Rochelle’s Lycée Hôtelier for 15 of their best employees. A French week was programmed in September 1997 on Silja Line ships in collaboration with the Rémy Martin Cognac producers and in presence of a BAC pro class.
This fruitful collaboration is still running successfully.

The Lycée Hôtelier is linked to the Plymouth Hotel School in the LEONARDO program for long term work experience possibilities ( 5 months). A dozen seconde or premiere and BTS students do their placements there.

Initiated by the Charente-Maritime county (département 17), a partnership with Iceland has made it possible to develop exchanges with the Kopavogur Hotel School (placements, gastronomy week…)

A partnership has been signed with the Franco Lebanese Hotel Institute in Beirut. The Lycée Hôtelier has been monitoring for the past 3 years the “housekeeping” BEP exam in agreement with the Charente-Maritime academic inspection office.
BTS students undertake placements in some of Beirut’s leading hotels such as the “Vendôme Intercontinental”.

Each year the Lycée Hôtelier places students on work placements at the Mohammedia Hotel School.

The Lycée Hôtelier is a partner of the Lillehammer Hotel School in the LEONARDO program for long term placements (5 months).
Furthermore, the Lycée Hôtelier hosts every year Norwegian students in the BEP “chef” section via the French embassy to Norway in Oslo.

In 1997 an agreement was signed with the Kolobrzeg Hotel School.

A strong partnership has been developed with hospitality professionals in Madeira who themselves collaborate with the Madeira Hotel School. The Lisbon Hotel School also works with the Lycée Hôtelier in the LEONARDO program.

Through the LEONARDO program the Lycée Hôtelier is associated with the Gothenberg Hotel School for long term placements (5 months).

Strong bonds exist between the Lycée Hôtelier, the Four Seasons Group and the Ritz Carlton who both welcome La Rochelle students in their establishments throughout the USA

The Lycée Hôtelier is actively involved in preparing a project monitored by the Regional Education Office and the Poitou Charentes region.
